Privacy Policy
Oftime uses local AI on your Mac. What the app sees stays on that computer. It is not sent to us, and no third party receives it.
Local AI
The gatekeeper and page check run as Llama 3.2 on your Mac through Ollama. Those models do not call our servers. We do not receive your reasons, tab titles, URLs, or chat. No third-party AI receives that information either.
What the AI monitors
When a site on your list is opened, the app reads the site and talks with you about why you need it. If Pro is watching the page, it also reads the active browser tab: the address and the window title. It compares that to the purpose you agreed to. If the tab does not match, the app can close it.
The app does not keylog, does not record the screen, and does not record audio.
What stays on your Mac
Your name, site list, Allow and Misuse notes, Llama settings, grants, and the last conversation with the gatekeeper are saved in the app’s local data on that Mac. That file does not leave the computer.
We do not keep a copy of your activity, and we do not sell activity logs.
Payments
If you start a Pro trial or subscription, Stripe handles the card. That payment information goes to Stripe, not into the local AI. Stripe does not receive your blocked sites or gatekeeper chat.
